The Fall Guy (2024)

An action film loosely based on a 1980s tv series, but there’s no prerequisite to watch it.

Laura’s Rating: 4/5 Stars

Plot: After stuntman Colt Seavers leaves the industry, he is reluctant to return to a movie set. After a request from an old friend, he agrees to come back to work, only to find himself in the middle of a dangerous missing persons case and potential conspiracy.

Opinion: I thought this movie was pretty cute. I liked the cast and the acting was great. The box didn’t perform well at the box office, which surprises me, because it has all the makings of a great summer blockbuster.

As you’d expect, the movie contains some pretty sweet stunts and action sequences, bolstered by a fun soundtrack. The film used practical stunts and is really a love letter to the unsung heroes of action films: the stunt doubles.

There’s plenty of funny scenes and even some heartwarming ones, which help give purpose to the action sequences. If you’re looking for good old-fashioned fun and entertainment, I’d give The Fall Guy a watch.
